Hi Jairo, being able to send out fillable PDFs is not exactly the same as having the ability to create templates which have an "free text/open text" variable and offer easy document setup:
e.g. for contracts - job description can be a good example > instead of creating a custom field with that description and later populate that into the contract, I'd rather have the ability of selecting the "free text" field and adding this to my template.
There are so many other use cases when this would be most useful, both from the admin and the employee side.

Hi, I'm Jairo, Product Manager of the Core Documents team in Factorial.
I'm happy to announce the launch of our new feature "Fillable PDFs" as part of "Document templates".
There are documents that employees must fill out and sign. Some are mandatory, such as Modelo 145 in Spain or Form W-4 in the United States. So far, Employees couldn’t fill out PDF documents within Factorial.
Now Managers now have the ability to request fill-out and signature tasks for PDF files that are fillable and Employees can fill out and sign documents seamlessly within the Factorial web platform.
Fillable PDFs are now a new type of Document template, a feature for Enterprise plans.
Document managers will be able to create a document template by uploading a fillable PDF file, distribute it to the employees using Documents in bulk and request e-signatures.
We will also provide an Official Document Templates (ODTs) section containing copies of some essential documents such as Modelo 145 (Spain) or Form W-4 (USA).
You can find additional information in our Help Center.

Jairo Moreno: The fact this is an enterprise feature--when it is so fundamental to the workflow of organizations--is really disappointing. That said, I hope you consult with customers in regions other than the US and Spain to ensure similar ODTs are available elsewhere.

Jairo Moreno: Is there anyway to stop the variables appearing with a grey background?

Sorry, Im not sure that this is what people were wanting. I want to be able to upload any document and allow someone to edit it to what they want. For example, an invitation to a meeting, add variables, but then be able to free hand the reason for the meeting. Edit variable could be <free text>. Then you add in what you like.

Remove the grey background on the variables, makes the documents look less personal and less professional
